Description
The Parashooter Wrist Strap combines modern functionality, high-quality craftsmanship, and vintage military aesthetics. The design is inspired by the famous war photographer Sean Flynn’s improvised solution, which he crafted by hand using paracord and grenade pins. This concept inspired Wotancraft to create their own paracord camera strap, showcasing their classic vintage tech aesthetic.
The Parashooter Wrist Strap is made from a combination of paracord and high-quality vegetable-tanned leather. The paracord is sturdy and durable, with UV and mold resistance. Its internal structure is woven from seven inner cores, offering a tensile strength of up to 550 pounds - creating a highly durable and versatile rope widely used in outdoor and hiking contexts due to its strength. By pulling out the inner cores, you can turn a 50-foot paracord into a usable rope several hundred feet long.
The leather used on the wrist strap is deliberately chosen for its thickness and durability. The leather features sanded-down edges for comfortable wear. Wotancraft uses the same finishing process on these leather edges as they do for their watch straps - using wooden edge tools rolled back and forth continuously. This process requires a high level of precision and consistent pressure to ensure that every edge is equally smooth and comfortable for long-term use.
