Sling Bags and Hip Packs
A sling bag is the perfect way to carry your essentials when on the move. It is typically lighter and more compact than a backpack, but fits more than your pockets, offering the ideal middle ground between the two. It is a great hands-free solution for keeping things like your phone, earbuds, wallet and tech accessories close at hand, out of your pockets and securely stowed. Larger sling bags even provide space for storing things like a light jacket, camera gear and a tablet. Regardless of its size, a sling bag is designed to be worn comfortably over the shoulder, either on the back or across the chest.
Sling bags are sometimes confused with hip packs (also known as belt bags, waist packs, fanny packs or bum bags), but as the names suggest, there is a difference between the two. A hip pack is worn around the waist, while a sling bag is carried over the shoulder. Oftentimes, this distinction is not very clear since some sling bags can also be worn comfortably around the waist, and vice versa.
